Biological transitions as a period of vulnerability for
physical and mental health problems, specifically:
- puberty, stress hormones (cortisol), and reproductive hormones and their association with psychopathology (substance abuse, depression, anxiety, behavior problems) and physical health (bone density, menstrual cycles)
