Overview
This award, established in 2019, is presented annually by the Penn State Nursing Alumni Society to a doctoral student in the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing. The doctoral student nurse supports the ideals of the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing and the nursing profession by engaging in superior academic endeavors and excellence that encourages and fosters the nurse’s personal and professional development with a demonstrated need for funding in an academic endeavor.
Criteria
- Must be a doctoral student of the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing
- Must be in excellent academic standing and seeking support funding for academic endeavors
- May be any current DNP or PhD student who is in good academic standing seeking support funding for academic endeavors

If you wish to nominate a doctoral student for the Doctoral Student Academic Excellence Award, please complete the Nomination Form by Friday, January 17, 2025.
