Continuing Education

Continuing Education (CE) is designed for working professionals who desire to advance their careers, acquire new knowledge and skills, or just want to pursue life-long learning goals. The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing offers numerous credit-bearing certificate programs as well as programmed short courses that are available. The short courses provide contact hours for Registered Nurses. Learning opportunities are offered via the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing courses on the World Campus and at several of the Commonwealth campuses. Please visit the Penn State Adult Learner website for more information or contact us at nursece@psu.edu.

Undergraduate certificates

An undergraduate certificate may be for you if you are looking to specialize in or focus on Nursing Forensics, Nursing Informatics, or Nursing Management.  The certificates can be earned as a non-degree student to enhance one’s career prospects or as a full- or part-time student in the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing’s RN to BSN degree program. Some or all of the credits you earn may be applied toward the requirements of the RN to BSN program. Learn more >>
