“Caring for a patient in today’s healthcare environment requires a holistic approach. The way to succeed at this is through a team of professionals. While these groups practice independently, it is most effective when everyone works together towards the same goal. Interprofessional education as a teaching tool helps to connect these professionals to improve patient outcomes and foster mutual respect for all disciplines involved in the patient’s care.
